Good Old Vinyasa Flow

Sometimes you want detailed instructions to learn a pose or sequence or time to explore variations on a familiar pose. But sometimes you just want to move! In the Good Old Vinyasa Flow class you'll do just that - flow through a sequence of poses that allows you to stretch, bend, twist and maybe roll or jump a bit. Instruction will be minimal so prior experience with yoga is recommended. Not sure if this class is for you? Contact Mary at AhsanaYoga@gmail.com.

Yoga for Mobility

A great place to begin if you're newer to yoga or simply prefer a slower-paced class. You will move your joints through their range of motion (ROM), as well as stretching and strengthening your muscles. This class includes poses done standing, seated, and reclined. Participants should be able to get up and down off the floor with minimal assistance (e.g., from a chair).

Yoga for Strength & Mobility

Just as the name indicates, this class focuses on building strength as well as increasing joint mobility. While each session is different, the general format is to warm up the muscles and joints in preparation for exploring poses from the same family (e.g., twisting, back bending, or hip opening). Participants must be able to stand for extended periods of time and get up and down off the floor unassisted. If you're not sure if this class is right for you, please contact Mary Donovan.

Ashtanga-Based Vinyasa Flow

The Ashtanga-Based Vinyasa Flow class has its roots in the postures of the traditional Ashtanga Primary Series. Participants will practice the same sequence of poses in each session. This repetition and consistency:

  • gives you time to master the basics;
  • allows you to fine-tune your movements; and
  • invokes muscle memory
